DNS checker

See how a domain is set up in DNS and when its domain name runs out.

One-off check. Nothing is saved.

What the result shows

How it resolves

The aliases (CNAME) the name passes through, and the addresses it ends at.

Nameservers

Who answers DNS for the domain, so where its records are changed; the DNS host is named when we recognise it, with DNSSEC on or off.

CAA records

Which certificate authorities may issue certificates for the name. No CAA records means any of them may.

Registration

When the domain name runs out, the registrar, since when it is registered, and whether it is locked against transfers.

It only asks DNS and the domain registry's public lookup (RDAP); it doesn't connect to the domain's servers, and stores nothing. Some endings (such as .de, .io or .eu) don't publish registration dates there.
